Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) and Qatar Ports Management Company «Mwani Qatar» signed Memorandum of Understanding today, April 19, 2016, in the presence of Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivaylo Moskovski and Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti.
By signing the Memorandum Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and «Mwani Qatar» agreed to promote mutual cooperation between them. They unanimously agreed that it is of mutual interest to partner in the following areas: port organization and structure; port management and operations, and port information technologies and development. Some of the other activities of joint cooperation are training and development of management and port operation executives; exchange of ideas and best practices on port management and productivity; programmes for training of port officers and participation in sharing of information on port systems to increase productivity.
In the spirit of good understanding, Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and «Mwani Qatar» will establish a joint committee and annually hold bilateral meetings in Qatar and Bulgaria. This Memorandum of Understanding is signed for five years, after this period it is automatically renewed if neither side has declared its intention for denunciation.
