South Tyneside College [STC] and Romanian Nautical College [RNC] open the first associative „1+1” programme in Europe to educate Deck, Engine and ETO officers, at the operational and management levels!
APPROVED BY THE UK MARITIME & COASTGUARD AGENCY!
„1+1 OFFICER PROGRAMME” means:
– You study 1 year in RNC in Constanta, Romania
– You study 1 year in STC in South Shields, England
– You take 12 months of sea voyage as cadet
On graduation you are awarded:
For Deck officers:
→ HND – Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science
→ CoC – Certificate of competency: Deck Officer
For Engine officers:
→ HND – Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science
→ CoC – Certificate of competency: Engine Officer For Electrotechnical officers: a separate, shorter route.
The “1+1” programmes include the full UK accredited career route to reach the maximum position at sea:
→ Chief Mate course [6 months] or Second Engineer [4 months].
→ Master Mariner and Chief Engineer course [1 month]
