Navibulgar’s Bulk Carrier Hits the Water in China

The second 45,000-tonne bulk carrier contracted by Navigation Maritime Bulgare was launched at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. 

The bulk carrier is part of the project Bluetech 45- evolution of the successful Bluetech 42, of which the Company operates three vessels: “Ruen”, “Rila”, and “Rojen”.

The second 45,000 DWT bulk carrier will be named “Midjur” and the construction process is supervised by DNV-GL classification society.
The first vessel from the new series, “Plana”, has completed her sea trials and soon will join the fleet of Navigation Maritime Bulgare.

The construction of the third vessel, “Buzludja”, will commence at the same Chinese shipyard this summer. Navigation Maritime Bulgare is planning to operate total of six vessels from the Bluetech 45 Project as the Company will continues the tradition of naming the ships after Bulgarian mountains and mountain peaks.
